Browne Defeated By Fernandez In Starboard Tack Showdown In The PWA Grand Slam
The wave, final of men was held in starboard tack cross-on winds.

The seventh day of the 2017 Sylt PWA Super Grand Slam (SPWASGS) saw the Sylt producing virtually many variations of conditions that one can ever imagine.
The day of the event started off with glassy waves, which made it difficult for many sailors to take race with the condition to take the breath.
By the evening, the wind continued to pick up and swing slowly more and more toward the onshore.
Wave double elimination women’s
The two rounds (opening) of the double elimination of women were completed in conditions, which was really challenging and with the wind swinging onshore more than earlier in the day.
Justyna Sniady, Caterina Stenta and Steffi Wahl all of them in the second round to progress to the joint seventh place at least, won their opening heat, on the other hand Lena Erdil become the winner of both of her heats today. She dispatched of Caroline Weber and Serena Zoia in the next round, she will face Wahl
Men’s – final
In the final, Victor Fernandez defended his single elimination successfully lead by defeating Marcilio Browne that was held in the wind of solid starboard and the decent waves.
Browne made a good start to the final as he landed an awesome double forward, but Fernandez hit back soon with a sick table forward the excellent double of his own.
The men’s double elimination third round was also competing in the conditions of starboard tack which favored some sailors. Here Yentel Caers made a good and a successful start.
